I may or may not have acquired something that I can’t really use in my current home and that I don’t know how to play (thanks, Freecycle!). (Also, I may or may not look like a 12 year old boy.)

Household instrument count: 1 trumpet, 1 violin, 3 acoustic guitars, 3 electric guitars, 1 (tiny) keyboard, 2 harmonicas, 1 bugle, 1 recorder, 1 fife and the newest (partial) member of our family..

Daily outfit

From Sunday. I thought I looked cute. But I don’t think the picture looks as good as it could because it makes it look like the skirt is more dowdy than it is – it’s totally ABOVE the knee and by a good 4+ inches but my silly husband can’t take pictures, haha. And it spins!

Shirt: Forever 21 (From their straight sizes!! And I’m plus sized and haven’t ever been able to get something from here. I can’t believe this one.)

Moccasins: Payless (These are so comfortable and I hate shoes.)

But, alas, it didn’t last long because I had to change into more appropriate clothing in order to watch us lose to the Ratbirds.

This week is for Jeremy Larson’s new CD release Project Christmas – “Feathers” in two weeks. It tells the story of him and his fiance, Elsie, so sweet! They are the coolest couple, ever.

Postcard Project

Happy Thursday! I have a postcard this week from my mommy to her mommy from 1969. My mommy was 22 then.

Thought I’d share some of my favorite things I’ve found recently.. my wishlist really 🙂

We’re going to the library tonight and I’m entirely too excited. I’m thinking about checking out these books:

  • Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger

Oh! And I have on hold Fury by Koren Zailckas. I cannot wait to read this one! Her first book is one my favorites – Smashed: Story of a Drunken Girlhood.

I have a strict no “mass market paperback” rule but I’m breaking it to get Dead Until Dark because my friend who also has a strict no mass market paperback rule is reading the series and loves them.

Project SMAIP

I’m skipping Music Monday this week to bring you something that I am really excited about. I have started a new project and I need your participation to make it work.

The new project is called Send Me An Instant Photo or SMAIP for short (really, I’ve been calling it SMAIP for weeks now so I’m attached). And it’s just as it sounds – I want you to send me an instant photo!

I plan on collecting them and sharing them on the site for everyone to see. Think PostSecret or OneMillionGiraffes.

I don’t plan to single-handedly bring back instant photos (or do I?) but I’m really excited to bring them all in one place and share them with others. Plus, ya know, I’ve been looking for something to collect recently and gosh, pandas and thermoses are so overdone. 😉

Anyway, please go check it out and then spread the word. I’ve got the Facebook and Twitter all ready so I’m raring to go!
