Postcard wall

My new postcard wall.. they’re all vintage ones from my collection. i’ve had a collection of postcards for awhile, they were my grandma’s, and i think my mom ended up with them and now i have them. and i continue to add on to them. these are all from theirs though, some are written on and some aren’t.

i haven’t done anything with the rest of my collection at this point. i have these all stuck to poster board, so i can change them out whenever i want.

i want to add more to this wall, but i’m not sure what to do with it and how to make it more ‘funky wall’ and less ‘poster from dorm room’. (the rest of the wall is just plain white around it.)

  • Nice. You are getting quite a collection.

  • Very pretty! What do you do with all the others you get from Postcrossing?

We’ve been creating a postcard wall with the postcards I get from postcrossing. Our exchange student will be bringing some postcards from her country when she comes, too.

To get it less “dorm room” as you say… what about a really neat frame? Maybe even matting it with some color that works with the cards.
I still have post cards from my grandma back in the day when she lived in Florida. Also some from cousins and such when they would visit or travel elsewhere… I was absolutely in love with postcards as a kid 🙂

  • I was going to suggest a really enormous but very awesome frame. 🙂

  • That is awesome! I’m not sure what else you could use though. A frame might be outgrown quickly.
