Quick Tips: Christmas Postcards

[source]

Every year I get Christmas cards and every year, after displaying them, I stick them in the Christmas decorations and then trash them the following year. On one hand, I feel guilty for trashing them because someone sent them to me, on the other hand, they’re kinda trash, lol. I keep letters and interesting mail.. but cards, not so much.

So, if you’re like me (and umm, also like me, didn’t send out Christmas cards yet..)

Take last year’s Christmas cards and tear or cut off the upper/front portion of it and you have a postcard! Then just draw a line or not, fill it out, write a little note & stamp it. (28 cents for a postcard stamp, by the way.)

Of course, this works for other cards including: other holidays, cards you get for free from charities that might have the charity name on them & maybe you don’t want to use them because of that, any card that you don’t like the text inside, or any card you’d rather be a postcard.

Postcards are totally cuter than regular cards anyway.

  • Yeah…you could’ve told me this before today…when I did all my cards! lol.

  • That’s a great idea! I may have to do that because I haven’t sent out any yet either. 😉

  • Chrissy

Loving this idea..and, yeah, I haven’t sent out cards yet…

  • I do that already with the past years cards 😀 Although I misplaced the ones I made last year lol

  • This is a great idea. Unforunately, you’ll still be getting a boring regular card from me 😛

  • Great idea! I take my Christmas cards and stick them on the wall as a “Christmas card tree” during the year and then trash them. I will have to remember this for next year!

  • I always trash the cards I receive too. This year the cards I sent out were from the pile of leftovers from years past. 3 of this design, a box of that design, etc.
