I’m listening to She & Him for the first time & I wasn’t really all that into them, until they started singing You’ve Really Got A Hold On Me and now I am sold. The ending is a little annoying though.

This is my favorite song of all-time (Smokey Robinson version).

You’ve Really Got A Hold On Me…

..and in Roseanne, my favorite scene is where Dan is playing it on guitar. [And you should know that I think Roseanne was one of the best sitcoms ever.] (Start about the 2:00 min mark.)

The amazing singer is Bonnie Bramlett & she was in the 60s/70s group Delaney & Bonnie and she does solo music today. Here she is in another Roseanne episode with David Crosby.

Anyway, I probably could go on and lead you off to into 300 different musical directions, so I’ll stop here. 🙂

new bike

so, slight change of plans.. meet my new toy. ❤

schwinn delmar cruiser, single speed, coaster brakes, super pretty & super fun to ride.

it’s kind of a long story how i ended up with this, but i’m still fixing up the free vintage bike- it just might take a bit longer. this is what it looks like right now.. ross eurotour, 5 speed, road bike. ❤

columbia bike guy

yesterday, i was on my way home & saw a guy on a bike out on a median, standing there with his helmet on, bike parked. he was throwing rocks and his keys on the ground & then picking them up again, while randomly waving to motorists. i didn’t really have time to get a picture.

today i find out that he is a bit of a local legend known as the columbia bike guy. his name is athar & he bikes to help manage his mental illness. i found a short documentary about him on youtube [below], an article/interview, & even a facebook fan page.

now i am definitely not only going to have to get a picture of him, but i think i’m going to need to get one with him, yes? i hope i see him around again soon!

balloon ❤

i bought a balloon at the dollar store and forced my poor husband into a photo shoot in the parking lot. ❤

it was so windy and the balloon wouldn’t behave itself, and he was just trying to get “one good shot”, but i ended up loving the whole line of pictures. ❤
