IKEA wishlist

Went to IKEA today and took some (really bad) pictures of some of the things I want.

i want this over the back of the couch.

this over the new old kitchen table, which you haven’t seen yet.

this on the side table

this in my crafting place that exists but doesn’t

this on the buffet/tv stand (but i wish it was yellow)

these are just awesome..

was a contender for the side table but probably won’t be picked.

not sure but i love this bad

new tv stand

here is the buffet table that was converted into a tv stand. i think it’s kind of big for our space, but it’s beautiful and it was cheap, so i decided that it didn’t matter. it’s not like we’ll be here in this rental forever.

the “before” space – we were using an old coffee table temporarily.

after.

the previous owner converted the drawers into pull down spaces. it looks like she pulled the drawers out, took off the front of the drawer, and put the front back on with hinges.

the whole living room.. which actually is the dining room portion of the room, but the way our front door is situated, there is literally no room in that half of the room. (it currently has a desk and bookshelf in it, oh and all the stuff that i hid from this half of the room to make the pictures look nicer, of course!)

and the corner where my favorite vintage suitcases are sitting currently, until i find a better place for them.

i still have a lot to do, but i really like how things are coming together. this is the first time in my life that i’ve liked how a room of mine has looked. i want gray and yellow added.

monday bullet points

this weekend was boring but relaxing
i updated my bucket list and firsts pages, and started adding links to things that i’ve blogged about. if you haven’t been there before, stop by now. 🙂
i might be picking up a vintage table/chair set for the kitchen tonight and a vintage singer “rocketeer” sewing machine tomorrow – pics as soon as i can.
also acquired a beautiful buffet table that was redone into a tv stand – pics also coming soon 🙂 maybe today.
husband and i have started the couch 2 5k running plan. it’s scary.
i’m thinking it might be about time for a random picture post, especially since i’ve kinda dropped project 365. oops. (i managed to do project-365-divided-by-2, does that count?)
need to scan some postcards from postcrossing so they can go on the postcrossing wall.
mmm maybe i should totally scan ALL of my postcards. that could take years. yes! and then create a link at the top of the page to all of them all laid out, yep.
i’m running out of random things to say.

1. Do you have any nicknames and if so how did it come about?
i don’t have any right now – so you should create one for me. my dad called me fizleglitz when i was little, also was called pete but i have no idea why (which is where my husband’s blog name comes from), and the normal pumpkin and squirt. a friend in school called me “little one”. my maiden name is tatar, so there were tons with that – tatar-tot, tatarhead, agi (agitater), were the ones i’ve had.. i miss those the most!! i’ve tried to get people to call me ren, from lauREN but it won’t stick.

2. What is your birth order amongst your siblings?
i’m the oldest, but sorta an only child too since my first sibling wasn’t born until i was 10 and i didn’t live with them.

3. In a movie of your life, who would play your significant other?
well, if i get to play myself, then michael shanks. 😉

4. What is currently your favorite song?
i like i love the way you lie.. i guess that’s the closest to a fave right now.

5. Are you saving your money for anything right now? Big or small purchase?
we’re just starting now to save for a house.
