miley cyrus portrait

I’ve finally gotten to see the supposed scandalous picture of Miley Cyrus, thanks to Mike. Seriously, I searched for a long time to try to find this picture, because I’m lame like that, and never was able to find it. Anyway, here it is, in case you haven’t seen it.

I have to be honest. I think it’s beautiful and tasteful from an artistic view. I could think of a hundred other things I’d rather protect my children from than artistic views of the human body– something that parents could teach their children to appreciate and understand. I do think there is a certain modesty issue involved in any view of the body, and from her parents’ perspective, but I don’t think it’s pornographic or scandalous by any means.

Parents could ya know, here’s a wild idea, teach their children about sexuality and the difference between flaunting for the purpose of inappropriate behaviour or reaction, and being a human that might come across sexually. I think if parents were more willing to speak to their children and form relationships with them, portraits like this wouldn’t come along and threaten the world of Disney. The issue isn’t with Miley Cyrus or the person who did the portrait. The issue is why in the world are parents allowing Miley Cyrus to raise their children?
