Recently, I’ve taken up cooking. I was never taught how to cook growing up, in fact, I wasn’t allowed in the kitchen– something about having no common sense, being klutzy or breaking something or another. But, now that I’m a wife, and staying at home, I figure I better figure it out. Luckily, I seem to have a natural talent for it. I don’t use recipes, and I make things up as I go along.

Anyway, I just got done cooking and eating dinner. I made stuffed pork chops– those really thick, two inch ones– stuffed with stuffing, like what you would put in a turkey, and wrapped in four slices of bacon. I made a mix of onion, green pepper and celery, with a lot of random spices and lots of butter, to pour over the porkchops. It’s the same stuff I put in the bread crumbs, for the stuffing. Yum. I can feel my heart clogging as I type. Oh, and I can’t actually move anymore. I guess that’s not important, though. Somehow, I’m going to have to make enough energy to exercise tonight.

A few days ago, I made chocolate chip walnut cookes, from scratch– well, I didn’t grind my own flour, I know, I know, shame– and they were really delicious. I used a Tollhouse recipe that was on the back of a bag of dark chocolate chips. I do not normally use recipes for cooking, but I haven’t done very much baking, so I would not really have a clue where to start.

I’ve also taken up using vinegar for cleaning. It makes everything feel really fresh, and the scent goes away fairly quickly. I don’t use it for all of the cleaning, because, honestly, I like the smell of chemicals, but it works really well for wiping off the counter after I’m done cooking. I’m also using apple cider vinegar as a toner for my face. It actually gives it colour, and normally, I’m albino.

I feel like Mrs. Homemaker here. All I need is a frilly apron, and a dress. Yeah, I don’t actually own a dress. Oh, and I need to start canning my own food! Does anyone know how to raise a barn? Ooo, I need an Amish midget…
