Okay, not really, since I’m not getting paid or anything, and it’s not about me. I just like the title. Shhh.

I found a “new to me” Christian band that I really enjoy. It’s been awhile since I’ve found anything in Christian music that I’ve liked, so I really don’t mind sharing. They’re called Hillsong United, and they’re really not a band, in the traditional sense, but a worship group from the Hillsong Church, in Sydney, Australia, and they’re under an independent label. I actually found them through their MySpace website. (Yes, that’s right, despite all the hype– good and bad– I like MySpace, darnit.) I’ve actually heard of Hillsong, in general, just from browsing mixed worship CDs, but never of this specific group.

Strangely, I’m finding myself missing the “Christian band scene” (and college type scene) that I used to be a part of. I grew out of it in many ways, and mostly I’m okay with that, but there was such a following and passion that existed there that I’ve rarely found elsewhere. It’s a shame. And, my time there was cut short, in leaving college early and losing connections with other people. I could definitely go for getting out of here and going to a concert or Creation or any number of other festivals, that I don’t know the names of.

I’ve also found a pro-life website/organisation I’m interested in. They’re called Abort73.com. I don’t know much about them, but they look interesting enough. I got them through a Bound4Life connection, and to be honest, I’m not a big fan of Bound4Life, but I think I might like this organisation better. (Ha, am I allowed to publically say I don’t care for an organisation? Err. Real blogging world scares me– as opposed to more closed community blogging sites– not to mention having my own domain, and I’m not usually one who keeps my mouth shut about anything.)

Not much interested in debating these things right now, just thought I’d share.

Oh, and blah blah blah, owner of this site doesn’t necessarily share all of the views of the linking sites. /blah.
