Arlo Guthrie, as in the singer of Alice’s Restaurant, aka the best song EVER, endorsed Ron Paul. How freaken cool is that?!

I think we should all hold hands and sing now. It’s only appropriate.

ron paul mass donation day

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

It seems like all I’ve been talking about recently is Ron Paul, but really I haven’t, I know because I checked, but even so, he’s worth talking about. ;)

He’s having one last huge donation day prior to Super Tuesday, on February 1st, he and his wife’s 51st wedding anniversary. So, if you’re interested, check it out.

And a little encourage for the masses… some of my life…

fox news cuts out ron paul

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Despite the fact that I’m only old enough to have voted in two Presidential elections– and just by a few days for the first one– this is the first election where I fully support a candidate, to the point of being actually excited about his potential and listening to him. Of course, if you’ve read my blog for ten seconds, you’ll know I support Ron Paul.

Despite the fact that Faux News did not include him in the New Hampshire debate, and the moderators of the South Carolina debate asked him ludicrous questions while essentially mocking him (and yet, he easily won the debate– along with all others), and pathetic media coverage of him, I am still highly annoyed by this piece of news.

Click here to see the idiocy.

Now, when it comes to free speech, I am definitely 100 percent with the rights of these things, even in the media. Even considering the equal time rule (which is a bunch of trash), they are well within their legal boundaries. In the end, Faux can choose whomever they want in their debates, and rebroadcast with whatever bits and pieces they wish. But, that’s not really the point is it?

It’s obvious they have their agenda, and so, of course does everyone else– hell, business is business– but what real benefit, ethics aside, do they have digging themselves in a hole, probably messing with their own stock? It is all about money, right? Anyway, America isn’t quite as dumb as we’re perceived, well, at least the Ron Paul supporters are not, and we’re growing pretty loud about it.

Seriously, Ron Paul. He’s the only candidate willing to uphold our Constitution. It is the single most important document and single purpose of the Federal government.

Please read this if you haven’t.

ron paul on ‘the view’

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Ron Paul is a unique voice in the Republican primaries as well as this upcoming election, and he is a “must learn about” candidate right now. You will find no other voice that speaks of the Constitution for what it is– our country’s law– and no other voice that understands the difference between federal and state governments and the critical importance of reverting to states’ rights.

Sometime recently, Ron Paul appeared on “The View”. I happened to come across his interview on YouTube.

It’s a farce of an interview, to put it bluntly, but all in all, Ron Paul shows his class. I believe he not only deals respectfully with the rudeness of these ladies, but he also shows the complete ignorance of Americans concerning our own law. Note the way he gets down to the real issue when it comes to abortion– Roe v. Wade is illegal and the rest is irrelevant. Get the mess out of the federal government and into the states, where it lawfully belongs, and then let’s finish the discussion.

While I was in Philadelphia this weekend, I toured Independence Hall. Our tour guide said something that struck me. He reminded us that every President has taken an oath to do three things– to protect, defend and uphold our Constitution. It is these three things for which the President is responsible, and it is only these three things. I wanted to yell ‘amen’ to that. He understood our history, and it is good to know that– even amidst today’s chaos of a government– one simply needs to visit a piece of living history, in a regular city, in our own country for a bit of a reminder.

Unfortunately, there are very few people in our country, both in and out of the goverment, who understand the concept of Constitutional law, a democratic republic or even have some semblance of knowledge concerning our history. We are often clouded by our own desire for our own way to realise the crimes our government has committed against us. Sometimes I wonder if in the name of “rights granted”, people are actually desiring to set themselves up for totalitarian rule. Socialism is not good, not even ‘in theory’, and the fact is, we should probably be scared. Sadly, the most uninformed are the loudest.
