The diary site I usually frequent is down, which is no surprise, because it seems more and more frequent lately. So, I guess I’ll write in here, for once. haha. The reason I went to this particular site from another site, five-ish years ago, was because the other site went down all [...]

I just finished reading Girl, Interrupted and I went to Amazon and I noticed there were a lot of mixed reviews, and even really terrible ones. I’m really surprised because I loved it. Almost every word resonated with me and I couldn’t put it down.
I’m not sure if it’s because I [...]

I bought some books! (Big surprise!)
Obsessive Genius: The Inner World of Marie Curie — Barbara Goldsmith
Goddesses, Whores, Wives, and Slaves: Women in Classic Antiquity — Sarah B. Pomeroy
Born Under the Sign of Jazz — Randi Hultin (and comes with a CD of some rare recordings, how cool.)

Alright, I’ve done the math.
I spend 90 percent of my life reading about books. I spend 1 percent actually reading books. The rest of the 9 percent is varied between (and in no particular order): eating, sleeping, cleaning, bathing, errands/shopping, painting/instruments/random hobbies, exercising and having sex.

I was going to do a [...]

I went to the library a few days ago, and again, tonight. Every month, they set up displays and this month is in honour of Banned Book Week, September 29th to October 6th. The front of the display is covered in brown paper, filled with random holes cut so you can peek into [...]

I don’t know if this is good or bad. The other day I bought a book, and I realised I already owned it. Today, I’m browsing through Bookmooch and marking some books that I would like to get. However, I cannot remember if I have any of them or not.
I [...]
