ah, canned air
I am trying to get a stupid OpenID plugin to work with my blog, so that people can use their OpenID to sign in, but I cannot get it to work. It’s driving me nuts.
I’m also sick of my new layout already. Yeesh.
My geek-face husband has a friend over right now and they’re modding our XBox, and by “our XBox” I mean “our second XBox”. It’s okay, it was free.
The Stillers won yesterday. Just thought you’ns like to know.
People are getting to my blog by Googling such things as “I hate John Madden”, “fascism” and “Cabbage Patch kids”. My fans, they know me! It’s fantastic to know that my blog is a good representation of who I am as a person. hehe
Yesterday at Mass, some people came up to light candles for those who have recently died in the church. I guess this isn’t really an uncommon thing, but it’s new to me coming from a background where I’ve never really seen a candle lit in church, except when I went to Germany my senior year of high school and visited the Köln Cathedral– an old Gothic Catholic cathedral– and saw all of the candles everywhere.
RCIA has been bittersweet for me so far. On one hand, I’m excited about the journey to Catholicism. On the other hand, I’m not really learning anything, yet, and things are somewhat disorganized. This is frustrating for me as an organized person who is interested in “getting down to the facts”. But I have been frequenting a forum where people have been discussing some of the same issues, and someone reminded us that RCIA is a shared journey of faith and learning to be part of the faith community. Facts can be looked up or studied at any time but developing Catholic Christian attitudes and responses to Christ isn’t something as accessible. It’s funny because at the beginning of the class the Priest pretty much told us the same thing, but I suppose it’s something I needed reminded of, considering my recent whining. It’s definitely worth keeping in mind in anything like this, that and I’m sure it’s some kind of lesson in patience.

Well I like the blue background, and the old one
Also I understand the wanting facts to look at and examine. I’m the same way, I always want something to read so I can just understand, and learn. It’s hard sometimes when one is on a journey as you are. Keep your chin up
