In in some odd turn of events, I was awake before noon this morning, and I decided I wanted to watch cartoons. I tried to find something good, but they truly suck. The few on are super hero shows and that bores me being a female and all. There was an old episode of Saved By the Bell on, and that appeased me for awhile, but then I gave up when I noticed all the government propaganda being televised.
Each commercial was some moral message regarding saving the environment, washing your hands, reading books, volunteering, etc. Some were regular messages and others used cartoon characters to give the message– Power Rangers and Inspector Gadget were two I saw. All those messages were “brought to you” by some sort of .gov website. In fact, the other day, I was watching something and this commercial came on to remind parents to eat dinner with their children, again, from by a .gov website. What business is this of the government?
Granted, I realise this is nothing new. All really old cartoons are government propaganda, but goodness, it particularly annoyed me this morning.
And seriously, more importantly, where are my cartoons?
